Do you really believe Poker Sites are not Hacked?
Many people claim that some if not most poker sites online are rigid or that weird stuff happens there which is not quite realistic. Normally the answer to this is that there is no reason why poker sites would want to be rigid because they make lots of profit and have no interest in damaging their reputation and business. Although I do not disagree that is totally out of the interest of poker sites to be rigid and take unfair advantage of its players, I have however thought about what if it is the players themselves that make the poker sites "become rigid"? Again to this claim many would say that poker sites invest a fortune on their sites and database to have it well protected and safe. Again I do not disagree on that either and I believe the majority of the reputable poker sites online invest loads of money on security. But think about this.... There are billions of people in the world and there are many people who are really smart with computers and computer based knowledge. There are actually people (and this is fact) that were able in the past to hack Banks in order to deviate money and steal, hack world reputable organisations and agencies such as the FBI and CIA and even the Home Office in the UK among others. My question is.... do you really believe that a poker site online is more or better protected then reputable banks in the world where peoples' money and personal data are held? Do you believe the CIA, FBI and of the like are less protected than a mere poker site online? You may believe so but I personally don't. Thus I believe there are people who also can hack poker rooms to create anything in their favour. Would like to ask who thinks this claim of mine makes any sense or not, and if not why. Thanks I and am not trying to say one should or should not play poker online or that I have a problem with it. I was just wondering how much easier is to hack a poker site versus other secure sites around the world. Also I'm aware that if someone wins too much money in a strange and unrealistic trend the poker room will ask the question, but what if the person in question is not that greedy and only moves to take advantage in a balanced manner so it won't raise suspicions yet still win unfairly and enough to live on it. I personally believe that those people are out there but in a poker site with over 250K players on-line as for example pokerstarts my chances to play against them are very small plus they do probably play high stakes poker at least I would if I were one of them ;)
